About Mindful Hearts Recovery Coaching

Support that feels personal, respectful and real

At Mindful Hearts Recovery Coaching, we provide personalised, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming support for people living with psychosocial disability, mental health challenges and neurodivergence.

Why we’re here

Support shaped by real understanding

Mindful Hearts Recovery Coaching was created from a belief that people deserve support that recognises the whole person.

We know that navigating mental health challenges, the NDIS, appointments, services and everyday responsibilities can sometimes feel overwhelming. We also know how much difference it can make to have someone alongside you who listens carefully, respects your choices and understands that progress looks different for everyone.

Our approach combines professional knowledge with lived experience, practical support and genuine respect for the person in front of us.

More than 20 years of experience

A background that helps us support you better

Our experience spans mental health, psychosocial disability, neurodivergence, recovery coaching, support coordination, support work, case management, education and employment support, homelessness advocacy and child protection.

That broad background helps us understand how different parts of life can overlap, and why support often needs to look beyond one immediate challenge.

2 decades of experience

Extensive professional experience across mental health, disability and community support.

Lived experience

Personal understanding that shapes how we listen, communicate and approach support.

Practical support

A grounded approach focused on everyday life, meaningful goals and what works for you.

Meet our founder

The heart behind Mindful Hearts

Mindful Hearts Recovery Coaching was founded by Amanda, who brings more than 20 years of experience across mental health, psychosocial disability, neurodivergence, recovery coaching, support coordination, support work, case management, education and employment support, homelessness advocacy and child protection.

Their lived experience has also played an important part in shaping the way we work. It brings a deeper understanding of how overwhelming systems, appointments and everyday responsibilities can feel, and how valuable it is to have support from someone who listens without judgement.

That combination of professional and lived experience is at the heart of our approach. We focus on the whole person, take the time to understand what matters to you and provide support that feels practical, respectful and personal.

Our team

A team shaped by lived experience

We bring lived experience alongside professional knowledge, giving us a deeper understanding of how overwhelming systems, appointments and everyday challenges can feel. That perspective shapes the way we listen, communicate and work with you, with empathy, respect and an appreciation that every person’s experience is different.

Our values

The foundations of all that we do

At Mindful Hearts Recovery Coaching, our values guide the way we show up for every person, every day. We believe support should feel safe, respectful and genuine. Our role is to walk alongside you, recognise your strengths and support you to build a life that feels meaningful on your terms.

Every person deserves to be treated with kindness, respect and without judgement. We see you as a whole person, not a diagnosis, disability, NDIS plan or list of challenges. We listen to what matters to you and honour your individual experiences, identity and needs.

You are the expert in your own life. We support you to make informed choices about your goals, services and the kind of support you want. Our role is not to take over, but to provide information, encouragement and practical assistance so you can remain in control of your journey.

We believe meaningful change is possible. Recovery is not always straightforward, and progress can look different for everyone. We hold hope alongside you during difficult times, celebrate the steps you take and support you to keep moving towards the life you want.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, accepted and that they belong. We are committed to creating welcoming, neuro-affirming and inclusive spaces for people of all backgrounds, identities, abilities and lived experiences. We value diversity and work to ensure each person feels seen, heard and respected.

We focus on strengths, capacity and possibility. We support you to build confidence, skills, independence and connection in ways that feel realistic and meaningful to you. Whether your goal is to manage daily life, understand your NDIS plan, reconnect with your community, return to study or work, or simply feel more confident, we are here to support you at your pace.

How we support you

Practical support for everyday life

We know that progress often comes from the everyday things. Understanding your NDIS plan, getting to appointments, creating routines, finding the right supports, reconnecting with your community or thinking about work or study can all feel easier with the right help beside you.

Our role is to make those next steps feel clearer and more manageable, while keeping your goals, preferences and pace at the centre.

What you can expect

A space where you can be yourself

We want you to feel comfortable being open about what is working, what isn’t and what you need from us.

We take a trauma-informed and neuro-affirming approach, respect different ways of communicating and processing information, and recognise that everyone’s experience is different.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start with where you are.

Let's start a conversation
